CATS








Basic Objectives of CATS;

To upgrade the accounting knowledge and skills of lower and middle levels manpower for both the public and private sectors of the economy.
To provide leverage for the above level of manpower to transit to professional Accounting carrier.
To provide professional accounting training to Executive Officers in Management to enhance their performance.

Admission Requirements

Five Credits in GCE O’ Level or its Equivalent (English and Mathematics inclusive)
  • National Diploma in Accounting
  • National Diploma in allied fields.
  • National Diploma in other fields with experience in Accounting functions not lower than Executive Officer or Clerical Officer Level.
  • National Certificate of education in accounting and allied fields with experience in accounting functions not lower than Executive Officer or clerical officer level.

PART II
Principles and Practice of Financial Accounting
Introduction to Public Sector Accounting

Introduction to Management Accounting
Practice of Auditing
Business Law.

PART III
Introduction to Financial Accounting II
Quantitative Analysis
Accounting Information System
Introduction to Tax   and Fiscal policy
Introduction to Cost Accounting
Introduction to Principles and Practice of Auditing

PART IV
Corporate Reporting
Public Sector Accounting
Taxation and Tax Practice
Management Accounting
Oil and Gas Accounting
Financial  Management.

DURATION
The duration of CATS Parts I to IV  is one year for each part. The programme runs on part-time, week-end basis.
 

METHOD OF APPLICATION:

An application fee of N5,000 in Bank draft made payable to ANAN Plateau State Branch, should accompany request for form. Personal cheques or postal orders will not be accepted.

NB ; Candidates should enclose a self-address envelope ( 30m x 22.5) with N400 stamp affixed.
